Highlight text in your current Mac application and send it as an SMS (Short Message System) text message to any mobile phone, anywhere. No need to connect or sync your own phone to your Mac. Messages that you send with smsZap are passed over the Internet to our SMS service centre.
Enjoy the upgrade of going from your cramped mobile keypad to the full keyboard of your Mac, or avoid touching the keyboard altogether and simply launch smsZap from within your favourite Mac application (e.g. Mail, Safari, Entourage, etc) sending the currently selected text with the hotkey combination SHIFT-COMMAND-W.
Rushing out the door with no time to send those appointment details to the printer? Just highlight the text in either Mail or iCal, hit the smsZap key combination and watch the message arrive on your phone.
smsZap is FREEWARE but does require credits in order to send out messages (these can be bought from smszap.com).
